Frederick Douglass Project for Justice

Untitled design (18)

The Frederick Douglass Project for Justice facilitates structured meetings and respectful conversations between members of free society and incarcerated people, so that they can learn from each other, form powerful human connections, and transform both their own lives and society at large.

This program brings members of the public inside the Barnstable County Correctional Facility, where they will get a tour of the correctional facility and a chance to talk over dinner with incarcerated individuals. The experience is humanizing and hopeful for both inside and outside participants.

The experience creates a bridge of understanding through structured meetings and respectful conversations between people incarcerated and free society. It fosters learning, builds powerful human connections, and ignites a mutual transformation that enriches lives and reshapes our broader community.

Sign up below to participate. You will be notified by email of the date when you can come. The events are from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and include dinner. This program is free.
