Community Work Crew

The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office Community Work Crew serves two purposes. Incarcerated Individuals who are accepted on the work crew perform jobs outside of the correctional facility under the supervision of a correctional officer. This builds their vocational skills and habituates them to the working world.

The crews are available to do carpentry, painting, and other manual labor at low cost to government and nonprofit organizations. It’s an efficient way to help the community while rebuilding lives.

In order to be eligible, you must be from a municipality, county, state or federal agency, or a nonprofit registered with the IRS.
