Florida woman arrested by Sheriff's Office, Falmouth PD

Being held without bail while awaiting extradition

FALMOUTH, Massachusetts – A 28-year-old Florida woman is being held without bail today at the county jail in Bourne after being arrested yesterday as a fugitive from justice.

Events began to unfold yesterday when the St. Lucie County’s Sheriff Office in Ft. Pierce contacted the Sheriff’s Office here with information about the possible whereabouts of Bethany Christine Kopyswcianski.  She was believed to be in Sandwich but further investigation led to Falmouth, where the town’s police department and members of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office determined she was inside a home at 8 Cold Spring Lane in East Falmouth.

Sheriff’s deputies, with further on-site assistance from Falmouth Police, arrested her without incident in the upper level of the dwelling.  Arresting officers were special operations Captain Chis Eordekian and Deputies Louis Langton and Mark Lynch.

She was taken from Cold Spring Lane to Falmouth Court, where deputies filed the fugitive warrant.  A judge then ordered Kopyswcianski held without bail pending extradition, and she was immediately transported and booked into the Barnstable County Correctional Facility.

A St. Lucie County sheriff’s deputy thanked her counterparts here for their quick work and promised a likewise swift extradition.
