Sergeant Roderick has been a K-9 handler since 2004. He handles K-9 Lilly, a one year old black Labrador retriever. She is a certified Narcotics detection dog trained to detect the odors of Marijuana, Cocaine, Heroin, Hashish, as well as many other odors. She is starting out in her career but has already proven successful in her job.

She replaced K-9 Noah, a yellow Labrador retriever upon his retirement in 2009. Sgt. Roderick is currently training K-9 candidate Puppy Alexa who also is one of the litter of Dutch Shepherds bred here at the Sheriff’s Office.
