CodeRED Emergency Notification System

CodeRED is an emergency notification service by which public safety officials can notify residents and businesses by telephone, or cellular phone about emergency situations in your area.  The system is capable of sending messages only to specific neighborhoods or the entire community.

CodeRED will only be used when emergency situations arise that you should know about.  Some examples of these situations include:

o  Severe Weather Situations

o  Substantial Utility Outage

o  Evacuation Notices

o  Missing or Lost Persons

o  Fires or Floods

o  Major Roadway Issues

o  Significant Criminal Situations

o  Chemical Spills or Gas Leaks

The regions currently participating in the Barnstable County Sheriff's Office CodeRED service are:

Falmouth, Sandwich, Truro, Wellfleet and Nantucket

If you do not see your town listed, please contact your local police department's non-emergency phone number to find out if they are using a similiar system in your area.

All residential and business listed and unlisted phone numbers in the participating areas are included in the CodeRED service.  If you have moved recently, or would like to add a cell phone number, please use the sign-up link below.
