The work of the Sheriff’s Office involves corrections, but also goes beyond corrections into many areas of public safety. This Academy will give citizens a broad perspective of all our departments and many of the other agencies we work with. Presentations include K-9, Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), Special Response Teams, Community Corrections, a tour of the Barnstable County Correctional Facility and much more.
All classes are held at the Barnstable County Correctional Facility (directions here) in Bourne, at 6000 Sheriff’s Place, across from the National Cemetery.
